Laser Therapy: An Effective Quit Smoking Option

Have you finally reached the point where the pleasure you get from a cigarette is no longer enough? If you’re feeling ready to quit, first give yourself a hearty congratulations and then start planning the quickest and most direct path to a smoke-free lifestyle. There are many options available when it comes to quitting smoking, and one very effective and successful option is laser therapy for quitting smoking. Laser treatment draws its scientific foundation from the ancient medicinal art of acupuncture, a technique that uses specific points on the body for therapeutic effect. With laser treatment for quitting smoking, a low level “cool” laser is applied to acupuncture points on the smoker’s ear and body to stimulate endorphins, leaving the patient feeling calm and relaxed. The procedure is absolutely painless and stress free; many people fall asleep during the treatment. Some people feel a slight tingling sensation or warmth around the point stimulated. Others have noticed their lungs taking deeper breaths during the treatment, or the day after trying to have a cigarette and getting nauseous. The body reacts to nicotine by producing higher levels of endorphins and during withdrawal, the body goes into a state of dysphoria (the opposite of euphoria), which can last for up to four weeks. With laser therapy, the body’s endorphin release during and after treatment maintains the endorphin levels a smoker is accustomed to and minimizes the withdrawal and cravings normally associated with quitting. This effect may last for several days, a critical period during the quit process, making a smoker’s experience considerably smoother and easier. A very high percentage of people quit after just one treatment.Beyond dealing with the physical aspect of the addiction, smokers must also address the psychological addiction to smoking. This means changing behaviours and attitudes towards smoking- completing the transformation to a non-smoker means, most importantly, being able to view yourself as a non-smoker. This is where extra support and encouragement can be critical for long-term success. There are many free online resources available to smokers wishing to quit. Most laser therapy treatments also include tips, education, and techniques for remaining smoke-free and overcoming the psychological aspect of smoking. Successfully quitting smoking means examining your options and deciding on the quit plan that works best for you. An effective plan should use methods that address both the physical and psychological aspects of quitting for long term success as a non-smoker.Good luck!James Kaufman helps Ottawa smokers successfully quit with his laser therapy quit smoking treatments. Anti-Aging and Effects of Smoking

If you have ever watched the makeover programs that they have on television from time to time you will notice that the people they often chose for the shows where they are trying to make people look ten years younger or thereabouts are those who smoke. There is a very good reason for this and that is simply because smokers will generally look a lot older than others of the same age.Smoking is only second to over exposure to the sun for making the skin look old, tired and unhealthy. Of course there are the other factors that need to be considered with smoking such as lung cancer that will certainly shorten your life and decrease the quality of life along the way.Smoking will also discolor teeth and teeth discoloration is something that is associated with aging. The smokers hair will also usually be somewhat discolored too.Smoking leaches a lot of goodness out of the body and that is shown in the skin causing a lifeless dry condition.Wrinkles also form around the lips of smokers from the action of sucking on the cigarette on such a regular basis and it is common for smokers to have more frown lines due to the fact that they often have to look through the smoke haze that they are expelling in front of their eyes. When you add all these negative effects together it becomes easy to see why smokers look so much older for their age and how eliminating smoking can stop the speed of the aging process and to some extent reverse the trend.Once smoking has ceased then various skin treatments, tooth whitening procedures and other positive anti aging processes can be implemented that will help the person to look considerably younger and healthier, provided they don't resort to smoking again.

THE reason for smoking cigarettes

The point is that you can choose to link pleasure to whatever you want to.If someone beats you, and succeeds in convincing you that this is an act of love, your brain will link pleasure to this situation and you know what’s next right :). It is the same thing with every behavior we tend to repeat. This is how the habit is created. The good news is that your brain is very powerful machine but you’ll have to learn to control it.I’ve came to this conclusion before I quit smoking, and this thought start bothering me. I was not satisfied with myself after this conclusion, and from this perspective I believe this was the turning point for me. Suddenly I started to notice every little excuse I gave to myself, and how was I conditioned to smoking. Day after day I became more and more aware of the excuses that were in charge and rule over me. Very soon I start to research and begin to imagine how life would look like without a cigarette. It takes me more than a year to link that non-smoking is very COOL!Now I’m a non-smoker, and I enjoy every second of more conscious “me”. I also enjoy that I can choose why, when and how can I feel in every moment. This inspired me on something else, do you know that there is one big advantage that every smoker have over a non-smoker. Sounds stupid I know, but it’s true. The fact that you are a smoker now can be a big turning point for your entire life, imagine how much momentum you’ll gain for every other aspect in your life, if you succeed in quitting cigarettes. You’ll be more motivated and strong for every job in the future, because you quit this smoking habit, you are in charge now and in the future. You’ll believe in yourself more, and you’ll like yourself more. Isn’t this the essence of a good life?
